There may be those of you who are wondering why this section is called
afe, and indeed what an afe is.
AFE stands for alt.fan.eddings,
which is a Usenet newsgroup devoted to the works of David and Leigh
Eddings. These works are predominantly fantasy, although there are
two contemporary stories.
If you're interested in fiction about Eddingsian characters and locations,
or written in the Eddings style, or you want to write some of your own, then
take a look at my Eddings fan-fiction area.
This area is the archive of the stories posted to the newsgroup alt.fan.eddings.creative, and
you can also read the FAQ for the newsgroup
here too.
AFE itself is a freewheeling, friendly and occasionally
on-topic newsgroup. If you want to know more about afe people, places or
things, take a look at these afe
resources.
Also hosted here is the AFE
Knowledge Repository, also known as the nvFAQ. It is designed
to be a database of Eddings knowledge, covering inconsistencies,
questions, extrapolations, clarifications and plain trivia, which is
beyond the scope of the FAQ itself. (The FAQ can be found at Guardians
of the West: see the AFE
resources.)
Meets: see my notes and associated things for tECII
(including the radio interview and the Big Dave mp3), and
tecIV (including the Malloreon Mystery).
